Kat Braz

ESC’s primary client contact and wordsmith, Kat still tinkers in editorial design as well. The guys call her the project wrangler because she keeps things on focus, on deadline, and on budget — which makes her sound like more of a stick-in-the-mud than she actually is. Her boisterous personality and effervescent charisma coupled with her reputation for innovative editorial choices makes her an in-demand speaker on the association publications circuit. In a past life, Kat was creative director for the Purdue Alumni Association and editor of Purdue Alumnus magazine. Her dual skill set in design and editorial enables her to deftly shift focus as needed to adapt to a project’s unique challenges. Read more of her writing at katbraz.com.

Charles.jpg

Charles Jischke

The chief vibe officer for ESC. He got his start in photography while touring the world as an audio engineer for a verifiable rock star. It’s name-dropping that would earn him some serious cachet, but that’s not his style. His thriving freelance photo/video business takes him to fascinating locations around the globe. Charles specializes in evocative environmental portraits and concept-driven photo illustrations. He’s the former head of photography for Purdue Athletics where he flexed his photo skills in both portraits and live events. His keen aesthetics elevate every ESC project and his zany ideas push us to make bolder choices. View his photo portfolio at jischke.com.

Paul.jpg

Paul Sadler

ESC’s design lead and collegiate sports logo king. He’s a creative tour de force who’s dabbled in just about every design medium that exists, although his heart belongs to editorial. As director of creative for Purdue Athletics, his impressive roster of talent frequently garners national media attention and recognition in design competitions. A multi-faceted creative, he supplements his design work with his own photography. His experience producing daily work for a Big Ten university ensures that Paul knows how to amplify an organization’s brand through graphic storytelling and embrace the challenge of incorporating visual cues to enhance content.
